Mani Leib (Brahinski, Mani Leib)
(1883-1953)
   American Yiddish poet and journalist. He was born in Russia and emigated to the US in 1905. He served on the editorial staff of Forverts from 1916 to 1953 and edited a number of journals of the Yiddish literary movement Di Yunge. He translated several Russian novels into Yiddish and published poems in Di Yunge's periodicals and anthologies. His ballads and tales for children were sung and recited in Yiddish schools.
